Another star vying to reach for the Moon? Meet Josh Ryan, the real deal...

I remember reading an interview with Paramore about how they fought to get their song on the "Twilight" soundtrack. It worked for them, and they rocked it.

Disney popsicles such as Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers, and American Idol Justin have all put their mics in the ring vying for a coveted song on the New Moon soundtrack. Um no, thanks.

But what about someone a little bit indie and savvy enough to have dipped his talented fingers into the likes of these shows? If you're a fan of any of these, chances are you've heard "Secrets in Stereo":

Meet Josh Ryan of Secrets in Stereo. His song, "Again" was used in a random Twilight YouTube video and instantly connected with Twilighters to the tune of 800,000+ hits:

Ryan says, "The song just connected. It said everything Twihards wanted to hear. Twilight fans are not asking me to write a song for the next installment of the story, New Moon. After much thought (and after “experts” telling me it’s not worth it), I decided to put it back in the Twilight fans’ hands."

Another Hunky Spunk Interview

...this time Robert Pattinson talks to the San Francisco Chronicle. Here are snippets of his quotes:

"It's strange because it already feels much more of a slick machine," Pattinson says of the film, which is being directed by Chris Weitz. "The first one we had such a young cast. Everybody was friends. It was fun. There was nothing like what it is now. Now there are people waiting outside the hotels all the time. We have security. It's crazy."

Twi-Stalkers- Leave Me Be!

He's been in Vancouver for three weeks pacing up and down his hotel room while the shoot has been under way because "I like to get some kind of momentum going in my own process, so when I actually turn up on the set I should know vaguely what I'm talking about."

"I feel like most of the time for the past few months I'm pretty much working every time I get out of the house, working or not, so I might as well be working," he says. "I'm always in work mode. Just in case someone comes up to you, you've got to have your game face on."

He certainly seems to like playing characters who are tormented, or at least struggling with who they are. "I try to choose things which are something that I'm going through in my life," he says. "Jobs that will help me realize or add something about myself. I don't really think about it in terms of a career."

There was a fan paparazzi picture taken of Rob last night at Richard's against his wishes, a thought that makes my stomach turn. You'll recognize it by this description:

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were at Richards on Richards last night enjoying the show. He’s taking a swig off his beer and she is just sitting there at the table beside them. It’s dark and grainy and not great at all but you can see it’s them.

Rumor Control: Taylor and Selena Just Friends

Selena Gomez's "Wizards of Waverly Place" co-star Jennifer Stone has denied rumors that the 16-year-old cutie currently is dating "Twilight" hunk Taylor Lautner. "They're just friends. She's friends with guys!" Jennifer told E! Online at the Catch Boutique and Operation Smile and Hope event in L.A. on Thursday, April 30. "Just because they're hanging out together doesn't mean they're dating, you know," she continued. "A lot of girls have guy friends."

Motorcycle scenes- the last night of VanCity shooting. Kristen Stewart rocks her own stunts!

VanCityAllie comes through AGAIN for Twilighters, and she also laments that last night was the last night of shooting in Vancouver:

Kristen has been doing her own stunts all night on the back of a motorcycle from various angles. These special effects look pretty cool for New Moon. However, in the book, Bella only rides on the dirtbikes with Jacob. And let me assure you, Taylor Lautner was not there and these were not dirtbikes.

My best guess? They changed the movie a bit so that Bella does something rash to see Edward's apparition... she rides on a motorcycle with one of the gang members.

Check it out for yourself. In the last cut, you can hear her say "Stop! Stop!" as part of her lines for that scene.

She decides to go on a joyride with one of the gang members to try to upset Edward into appearing in her head again. Only in this particular movie scene, they actually filmed Rob Pattinson standing right beside Kristen Stewart telling her not to go, with Kristen standing and talking to the gang member beside his bike. (I’m sure they’ll make him an apparition in post-production editing)

And let me just say this — Kristen Stewart is one HECK of a cool chica. She did ALL her stunts tonight, at least the ones that I saw. Props for braving it out in the cold Vancouver night on a motorcycle all evening. Major Kudos, Kristen!

Ashley Twitters a Plea of Help for Rob

Ashley Talks Yellow Porshes and Die-Hard Fans

In an interview with Access Hollywood, Ashley Greene said that filming for "New Moon" is half-way finished, and excitement is building on set with the impending five-day shoot in Italy.

“I haven’t driven the Porschse yet. We weren’t sure if they were going to let me it or not,” she told Access. “But, they let me drive a Mercedes in a scene that we did last week.”

Ashley also expressed her pleasure over die-hard fans (you know who you are!), provided she meets them without Robert Pattinson around.

“They fly in! They come to set and they set up these blankets, and just hang out and wait,” she said of the Twi-hards. “And, when we’re in-between scenes or when we get done [shooting,] we always go over and say, ‘Hello.’ They’re dedicated!”

“They’re really cool with me, they come up and say, ‘Oh my gosh. I love you so much!’ But with Robert Pattinson, I think they want locks of his hair!”

Ashley told Access getting the whole cast back together was a delight.

“We filmed the big family party scene, which was really fun,” she said. “It was the first [time] all of us [were] back together filming. It turned out really well!”

About his hotel room in Vancouver while filming New Moon:

"I've been living in this windowless room on the 30-something floor. Because the people who built it were afraid of people killing themselves! It's one of those business hotels. I guess they're worried about not being able to charge so much for rooms if guests were killing themselves …"

Most actors live in apartments, or at least hotel suites, while on set. But not Pattinson: "I've settled there now. It would take about three weeks for me to gather all my belongings. I don't let the maids in. I don't even pull the duvet down now because I don't want to see what's underneath."

About rabid fans:

There are always fans waiting outside the hotel but he tries not to think about the phenomenal level of fame he's reached in north America; he says he'd go mad if he did. So he tries to disguise himself: "But instead I'm just getting more and more conspicuous; I'm wearing two hoods, a hat and sunglasses, which kind of stands out in the middle of the night. So I'm learning to sprint."

About his cleverly disguised hotel name:

At times Pattinson sounds grown-up, but he also lapses into adolescent silliness. Ask if he has a fake hotel name and the giggling starts: "I was Clive Handjob in Paris. Everyone in the hotel called me 'Monsieur Handjob'. That was good, cheap fun."

About Little Ashes:

Pattinson is actually taking Little Ashes more seriously. He even watched it the other night. And he never watches himself on screen, ever. "It's like self-flagellation, so why would I bother? And I didn't want to piss on anyone's grave. It was hard to watch my first scene, in which I turn up in this funny little hat … I was worried about watching them, but Dalí and Lorca's sex scenes were in fact the best scenes."

About how he HATES interviews:

Sometimes he has fun making things up in interviews. Such as? "I do really intellectually highbrow stuff in my downtime. I read first-edition Shakespeare. I write poetry. I'm trying to get my masters in neuroscience. That's the kind of guy I am." He pauses, clearly amusing himself: "Man, I don't even know what a masters is." And he laughs hysterically as he creates another shape with his hair.

As for how Marlow got her name, Greene said, laughing, "I really liked the name Harlow, but that's Nicole Richie's kid's name, so I thought that might not be entirely appropriate, so I just changed the first letter."

Of three things I am absolutely certain:

1. My blog was in the crapper this morning- Alison from TwiFans and Sofia were kind enough to bring it to my attention. All should be well now.

2. I am in heaven right now watching "How to Be," and I am irrevocably convinced that Robert Pattinson is one of the best actors EVER (the other being Edward Norton.) I am ADORING this boy.

Is it warped that even though he's sporting that giant mop of hair, orange unlaced Converse high-tops and a giant plaid, frumpy jacket, I still want to push him back against his junky old sports car and do unspeakable things to him?

Whew... went to my happy place for a minute.

3. What makes it worse is that I STILL want to do that, even after seeing these exclusive Little Ashes clips from The Sun?! Thanks, Vitamin!

Little Ashes Director Dishes On Pattinson's Love Scenes

The L.A. Times Dishrag spoke exclusively with Paul Morrison about Rob Pattinson and his role in Little Ashes:

DR: Those gay sex scenes and the nude scenes, were those difficult for young actors Rob and Javier Beltran?

PM: I think they were difficult, but I think all sex scenes are difficult, and for all actors of all ages. I think Rob probably found it harder than Javier, to draw the line between performance and, ah, but that was also in the nature of the part, that Dali's sexuality was so complicated, complex and mysterious, I think even to himself, and his fear of sexuality, and if you're playing that role, that kind of rubs off on you, so I think sex and pain were so closely entwined with Dali that to play those scenes is also hard, and the triangle sex scene is an unbelievably difficult scene. One of those scenes in everybody's life when you're doing something and you know it's really really wrong, it really, it goes against the grain, but you're doing it, so playing that scene is hard, it's always hard.

DR: It's wonderful to see a young actor like this, who despite the fame and the adulation is choosing a path and taking some extremely challenging and provocative roles. Do you think he will continue on that path?

PM: He is serious about acting and I am sure that, yeah, he will want to do roles that challenge him. I can't tell you how hard he worked on the role of Dali. I was encouraging him to just play the script, but he was for himself hunting down every day bits of film or tape or interviews or a biography of Dali. He worked really hard at it, both intellectually and emotionally. I think that's in his blood now, I think. I don't think he'll be satisfied with playing less than interesting roles.

Dish Rag: Playing Salvador Dali is a daunting role for a young actor.

PM: Yeah, I don't think Rob realized what he was getting into when he agreed to do it, but he really worked hard at it, he really grappled with it, and I think he's done something very extraordinary. It's so difficult to do, because you have to tread light all the time between playing Dali as a young lovable young man, which he was, and suggesting the kind of pastiche of himself that he became in later life, that he presented to the public in later life, and that's a very tall order, and I think Rob pulled it off.

Taylor Lautner was in full getup as Jacob, and he looked good. Black jacket, dark shirt, and blue jeans. Wig looked great tonight and Taylor looked more chiseled than ever.

This was my first sighting of Chris Weitz, so it was great to see the New Moon director in a fabulous white sweater with a really cool black red and white scarf and jeans.

Mike Welch was looking dapper in a tan spring jacket and light blue button up shirt, blue jeans, and sneakers. Perfect for a date night out with Bella.

Socialite Ashley Greene was at Kitson yesterday with pup in tow to promote a cause close to her heart- the "Donate My Dress" charity:

Ashley showed off several outfits during her shopping spree including a pink scoopneck top with jeans and a blue minidress.

Donate My Dress is an organization that helps high school girls who can’t otherwise afford a prom dress get one for their big night.
