Edward Cullen vs. Bill what's his face from that True Blood show

Horror Blips asked me to participate in their showdown- Edward Cullen vs. Bill Compton. I have not become a traitor, yet, though sources tell me True Blood is yummy...

Here's my biased answer- go catch the rest of the opinions, including TwiCrack and Cullen Boys Anonymous at HorrorBlips and ShowHype!

We asked several vampire experts their opinion on this hypothetical smack down. Their responses were mixed. Read on to see which of these two powerful playboys they think might be the victor. And all comments are welcome, so feel free to add your own opinions!

Call me biased; with the moniker Twilight Moonlighter and Twilight Parents Examiner, it’s no surprise that I’d choose Edward Cullen the winner of a fight over “True Blood’s” Bill Compton.

Edward Cullen, throughout the saga, shows an incredible amount of restraint. From avoiding human blood, to his “almost” trysts with Bella, and even his ability to leave Bella in "New Moon" despite the burn for her aching in his heart, Edward has truly harnessed his inner masochism.

Conversely, when he needs to unleash his rage, Edward has the ability to destroy whatever obstacle he needs to in the name of love, honor and integrity. His extraordinary speed and ability to read minds only serves to help his cause.

Edward’s characterization as a “pretty boy” should not deter the reader from accepting his lethal attributes. Though Edward’s chiseled jaw line, sensuous smell and ability to “sparkle” in the sunlight are a source of much criticism, ultimately, his ability to hone into himself makes him the leader of the pack. Oh wait. That’s Jacob.

House-Hunting Fanning

Dakota Fanning goes house hunting on Monday afternoon (April 20) in Santa Monica, Calif. Dakota, 15, will play the role of Jane, a powerful Volturi vampire. Filming of Fanning's scenes begin in the next few weeks for the Twilight sequel, New Moon.

You and Me Livin' Vicariously...

.... through the world of Vancity Allie. I give kudos to her hanging out, catching a glimpse, a pic, a hug here and there from the Twi-Cast.

Allie was fortunate enough to catch pics of the Twi-Cast at 6 am after hanging around the set ALL NIGHT LONG:

Peter Facinelli (Carlisle), Kristen Stewart (Bella), and Nikki Reed (Rosalie) in full hair and make up got out of the van! Peter said, “We just have to get out and give you girls hugs for waiting all this time!” Hugs all around. Kristen asked Amy how long we’d been there, and Amy said “10 minutes” at first and then eventually told her the truth. Nikki was just beaming… she looked great and her new wig looked amazing.

We were super excited to see they were in full hair and makeup, all dressed up in the new costumes for the Birthday Party scene!

Next, Rob and Ashley's car pull up:

They rolled down the window and Rob exclaimed in his accent, “You guys are crazy!.” The girls got pretty excited and snapped a couple rare pics. Rob and Ashley smiled at us and put up with our photos and said bye to us before leaving. Very cool of them to roll down the window and say hi! Amy mentioned how uncomfortable Rob is about photos, so that must have been tough for him to do but we really appreciated it! And they both looked gorgeous.

I just found this slideshow on Comcast. It's a great pictorial of all the "Bat Pack", but they left out the heroine... I guess, technically, she's not part of the vampy crew, but it seems a shame to leave out Bella:

MTV talked to Michelle Trachtenberg, who isn't sure who she'd put her money on. "I think Angel's bigger than Edward Cullen, just physically, so it would be a battle to the pointy teeth. We'd have to see it play out. I couldn't possibly predict it."

Pay attention to their looks and their mannerisms. You can REALLY feel the werewolf and the vampire aesthetics from both Taylor and Rob, and it's a great feeling... feels very true to the book. Bring New Moon ON!

New Moon Vamps Re-Vamped: Now Clean and Crisp

Sounds like a toothpaste commercial... Kristen Stewart dished to Larry Carroll of MTV the new feeling of the "New Moon" vamps:

MTV: Kristen, the web was recently flooded with photos of you in Vancouver, doing pre-production for "New Moon." What did you see up there that convinced you the sequel will be even better than "Twilight"?

Kristen Stewart: Everything! We're sort of revamping. The look of the vampires has gotten that much better — now they just look clean and crisp. They're beautiful, really. We've had all of our rehearsals, it's pretty much done — all of the prep for the script, it's solid. There's no more work to be done, whereas a lot of times you'll be on a movie and you scramble the night before and make sure everything's done, and then you lose sequence of the whole thing because you don't shoot in order. We're set! It feels so good.

Pattinson Tops Pitt for Sexiest Vamp!

NEVER thought I would see the day that anyone would trump Brad Pitt in his heyday as sexy vamp, but Mr. Hunky Spunk has done exactly that. The news is enough to make Brad Pitt anemic: He's not the sexiest bloodsucker to hit the big screen.

In a Moviefone poll that garnered more than 1.8 million votes, here's the vampy lowdown:

Dakota Fanning naysayers (myself included), have hope. Kristen does. From Access Hollywood:

“New Moon” will feature new additions — Dakota Fanning has joined the cast of the film, news which Kristen thinks is “awesome.”

“It’s cool to have small characters be really vivid and have them stick out,” she said. “I feel like she’ll do something really interesting with it. It’s a crazy character she plays.”

Dakota is set to play Jane, a pint-sized Italian Volturi vampire.

It's going to be weird to see these two together- vamp style...

This is just sick. and wrong.

Creepy much? A company in Switzerland created this ad for O.B. tampons, using a vampire to promote their product's, um, absorbant qualities. Thanks for the image, but it might be better if they used Robert Pattinson. We wouldn't want this dude showing up when we get our periods!

Fanning Makes Forbes MVP List

Forbes Magazine has released its list of Hollywood’s Most Valuable Young Stars, and New Moon's newest vamp has made the cut.

Dakota Fanning, 15, who has starred in such films as “The Secret Life of Bees,” “Push” and voiced the title character of “Coraline.” She’s set to join the “Twilight” franchise with a role in November’s “New Moon,” and is reportedly negotiating for a rock star role in the biopic “Runaways.”

Danielle Radcliffe, RPattz's former costar of the "Harry Potter" series ranked #1. Radcliffe has a Broadway role in “Equus” and has three “Potter” films yet to be released.

At #2 is Miley Cyrus, 16, thanks to her double-threat career as a musician and actress on Disney’s “Hannah Montana.” The Hannah Montana movie opens in April.

All of the actors were under the age of 19 when the list was compiled.
