f things had gone differently, Ashley Greene could have been making Twilight movie magic with her ex-boyfriend, former Desperate Housewives star Josh Henderson.

"I talked to Ashley about potentially being the new, college, all-American character that's a vampire in the third one," Henderson told us last night at Xbox's launch of EA Sports' Madden NFL 10 in Santa Monica. "I went for a few auditions, but they went with an Australian kid."

As all Twi fans know, Henderson is referring to the role of Riley in Eclipse, which just went to big-screen newbie Xavier Samuel.

How times have changed for Henderson and Greene. It used to be Greene who was doing the following of Henderson to work...

"I remember when she was brand-new," Henderson said. "She used to come on set with me and be like, 'Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh.' So, I'm completely stoked for her that she's doing her own thing…It's completely changed her life."

Ashley denies a trist with Grenier- been single "forever"

Finally, a post from Perez Hilton that I believe (sans his snotty comments)!

"I don't know where that started from!" Green exclaimed over the claim she "got super cozy all weekend" with Grenier after a surfing event last weekend.

Ashley continued to deny: "We ended up being at the same event and we were surfing, and we chatted and of course there happened to be a picture taken of that."

Green explained to reporters that she has yet to dip her, er, foot in the Hollywood dating pool and she's been "single forever."

On the Twilight cast: "We get along really well," she says of her co-stars, who are all confirmed through at least a third movie. "And thank God! Can you imagine going back over and over if we didn't?"

On Rob Pattinson’s fame: "Oh God. Poor Rob is already a Beatle. His whole life is documented. If he picks his nose, it's all over the Internet. He's just done for. I think he's kinda freakin' out, like, 'What the fuck is going on?'"

But she gets chased by paparazzi, too: "You don't want to have your picture taken when you're coming out of a club all wasted. It's tough… I get a call from my mom in the morning, and she says, 'So I see you went out again last night.' I might as well have a GPS chip in my skin, but no, I have the Internet.”

Nik and Ash try and curb the cancer sticks

E! Online reports that Ashley Greene and Nikki Reed recognize the negative connotations that puffing their cancer sticks promote for younger viewers.

"Everyone on the cast smokes, and they are all trying to quit because they are on Twilight and know they are in the public eye," says a friend of Nikki. “[Ashley and Nikki] know they are role models for little kids. If there are a ton of paparazzi photos of them smoking, that's not a positive image."

Sources say that in order to help curb the habit, Ashley and Nikki are enlisting the help of SmokeStiks.

Lainey reports: Ashley Greene left Vancouver yesterday. Here she is at the airport. THAT is a pretty, pretty girl. She looks like a doll.

Today is Pattinson’s final day on the set of New Moon barring any crazy cataclysmic setback. They’ve had to postpone these scenes due to weather, now must rush him through the shoot to get him out on schedule. It’s supposed to be a beautiful day in Vancouver today. Which is perfect because – get ready for it Twi-hards – today they are shooting in the Meadow.

It’s a dreamy sequence. In the Meadow, Bella sees herself get old, looks like her grandma. And Edward wishes grandma happy birthday. Then they’re young together and lying in the field and looking at each other and it’s pretty.

Ashley dishes on BFF's of New Moon

I sludged through the smut and found these nuggets from E! of who's BFFing who, as told by Ashley Greene:

"For the most part it's great," says Ashley. "We all get along. It's a bunch of personalities," cooed Ash. "So I'm not going to say there's not going to be a disagreement here or there, but it's not like a war or anything like that. We all hang out."

We asked Ashley if she wasn't naturally drawn to certain friends?

"Yeah. Me and Rachelle [Lefevre] literally go out to dinner every night and hang out a lot. And Kristen and Nikki definitely hang out with each other more than I think the rest of us do. But we'll all still get together. It's hard with everyone's schedules, too."

Ashley Talks Yellow Porshes and Die-Hard Fans

In an interview with Access Hollywood, Ashley Greene said that filming for "New Moon" is half-way finished, and excitement is building on set with the impending five-day shoot in Italy.

“I haven’t driven the Porschse yet. We weren’t sure if they were going to let me it or not,” she told Access. “But, they let me drive a Mercedes in a scene that we did last week.”

Ashley also expressed her pleasure over die-hard fans (you know who you are!), provided she meets them without Robert Pattinson around.

“They fly in! They come to set and they set up these blankets, and just hang out and wait,” she said of the Twi-hards. “And, when we’re in-between scenes or when we get done [shooting,] we always go over and say, ‘Hello.’ They’re dedicated!”

“They’re really cool with me, they come up and say, ‘Oh my gosh. I love you so much!’ But with Robert Pattinson, I think they want locks of his hair!”

Ashley told Access getting the whole cast back together was a delight.

“We filmed the big family party scene, which was really fun,” she said. “It was the first [time] all of us [were] back together filming. It turned out really well!”

One question: When Does Ashley Sleep??

Not only did she get a new puppy, promote her charity AND carouse a bar, Miss Green was out with Mr. Lutz at the "For Joseph" Spring/Summer 2099 Launch Party, and she still looks fabulous! You GO girl!

Ashley parties til the pups come home

After her stint promoting her charity, Ashley looked beautiful last night in her off her shoulder outfit as she learn to deal with paps- her and a few friends leave the popular Bar Deluxe in Hollywood on Thursday night (April 30).

"She was meant to be mine," gushed the 22-year-old actress, who plays the pixie-like vampire Alice Cullen in the popular series, of her new puppy, Marlow. "I wasn't looking for a dog, and I happened to see her picture online, and I was like, 'I have to have that dog.' "

"I'm already so that girl that brings her puppy to an event," Greene admitted to PEOPLE, adding, "I just got her today, and I was like, 'I can't leave her home alone all day!' "

As for how Marlow got her name, Greene said, laughing, "I really liked the name Harlow, but that's Nicole Richie's kid's name, so I thought that might not be entirely appropriate, so I just changed the first letter."

Ashley looks smashing while promoting her charity

Socialite Ashley Greene was at Kitson yesterday with pup in tow to promote a cause close to her heart- the "Donate My Dress" charity:

Ashley showed off several outfits during her shopping spree including a pink scoopneck top with jeans and a blue minidress.

Donate My Dress is an organization that helps high school girls who can’t otherwise afford a prom dress get one for their big night.
