(ok, I just threw this one in because it's too hot not to...)
We asked several vampire experts their opinion on this hypothetical smack down. Their responses were mixed. Read on to see which of these two powerful playboys they think might be the victor. And all comments are welcome, so feel free to add your own opinions!
Kim, Editor, Twilight Parents Examiner and Twilight Moonlighter
Call me biased; with the moniker Twilight Moonlighter and Twilight Parents Examiner, it’s no surprise that I’d choose Edward Cullen the winner of a fight over “True Blood’s” Bill Compton.
Edward Cullen, throughout the saga, shows an incredible amount of restraint. From avoiding human blood, to his “almost” trysts with Bella, and even his ability to leave Bella in "New Moon" despite the burn for her aching in his heart, Edward has truly harnessed his inner masochism.
Conversely, when he needs to unleash his rage, Edward has the ability to destroy whatever obstacle he needs to in the name of love, honor and integrity. His extraordinary speed and ability to read minds only serves to help his cause.
Edward’s characterization as a “pretty boy” should not deter the reader from accepting his lethal attributes. Though Edward’s chiseled jaw line, sensuous smell and ability to “sparkle” in the sunlight are a source of much criticism, ultimately, his ability to hone into himself makes him the leader of the pack. Oh wait. That’s Jacob.

A recent article featured Blue Foundation and their recently revamped song, "Watch You Sleeping." Intrigued as to the roots of the group and the relationship of the lyrics to the movie, I contacted producer/musician Tobias Wilner (a.k.a. Bichi), creator of Blue Foundation for his thoughts.
Blue Foundation is a project Tobias originally started up with his brother. With the help of friends Kirstine Stubbe Teglbjaerg (vocalist for "Eyes on Fire") and Tatsuki Oshima for the first album, Tobias has found inspiration in enlisting assistance from various favorite musicians in his additional two records. The underground song, “Eyes on Fire,” was an unlikely overnight success and has, to date, garnered nearly nine million hits on their MySpace page.
Though the lyrics of "Eyes on Fire" seem to have been written specifically for Twilight, Tobi reveals otherwise, offering up a great deal of insight into the pained tone of the song:
It really seems like the song was written for the movie, but it had not. It was written a year before in a cold, dark December night in Copenhagen in a very old and trashy house where I used to have my studio by Kirstine and me. I think the music and lyrics speak for itself, but I can tell you, I did the music in the hardest period in my life, struggling with relationship and suicidal thoughts. It was all about stand up against your demons and fight back, be strong. I think that's the beauty about this song. It's about anger and strength to fight back. Be strong and be able to continue to walk through the "desert".

"It's tricky," he said of the filmmaker's dilemma. "I mean, [Edward] leaves for months."
"In the book, she just hears his voice," continued Welch, who plays rival Bella pursuer Mike Newton in the movies. "In the film, it's more of like a hallucination kind of thing. He will be [in the movie more than the book] for sure."
While the news of more RPattz is sure to excite some fans, others may be concerned about the tweak — and the manner in which Edward will be glimpsed in Bella's hallucinations. Will he be an Obi-Wan Kenobi-like figure, giving her advice from the great beyond? Will Edward come across more like a god, overseeing her safety from half a world away? Will the sequences play like a bad acid trip from a '60s movie, or more like Bella interacting with an imaginary friend?
"It's going to be interesting to see — I have no idea," Welch explained. "You can sort of picture it reading [the script], but I don't know how they actually went about filming that stuff."
Team Edward or Team Jacob?: "I've been asked that many times. My new motto is, I'm Team Berry Cobbler" (the dessert Cora serves Bella). I did get to meet Robert Pattinson a couple of times, and he was fantastic. I actually met his parents before I met him. I have a day job as an optician and they came in, looking to have some glasses repaired."
The "Twilight" effect: People find my MySpace page, and I get lots of acting-related questions, and then more frivolous ones, like, 'What does Robert Pattinson smell like?' Well, he smells like a 21-, 22-year-old guy. He smells like he should smell. I'm sure if anybody smelled him, they'd just be wooed and won immediately."
Mother Kim Grimme adds: "Catherine Hardwicke made a point of introducing Robert to Cat (as the family calls her). He got down on his knees so he would be at eye level. And, of course, because he's got a British accent, everything sounds better. We took pictures of her with Robert, and with Kristen Stewart (Bella). He was talking and joking with the other cast. Kristen was a little more introverted."
It was a little stressful because as we kept filming, the press kept getting more of it and the fans kept being more into it. All these websites started popping up, and all these things. It was amazing. It was like, 'Oh, wow, this is going to be something else!' We started making this movie and people are already loving it and it's not even out yet. I wasn't really prepared for it, but I was really thankful for it, because they're so supportive of what we do. As an actor, you need an audience."On New Moon:
It was just really nice to kind of get back together and have that family environment. In terms of having a new director, nothing really changed too much. It was just a different subtle vibe, because the director manages the energy on set. It was great. We all wanted to come together and make another great piece of art for the fans. It's really about what they want to see, because they're the ones buying the tickets."On doing his own stunts:
He did say that the recent trailer didn't show the entire scene of him getting thrown into the piano, but that he did get to do a lot more of his own stunts in the movie. "That's only the beginning of it. They didn't show the entire thing. It's gonna be a really action-packed movie."Also of note:
Inspired by the New Moon trailer, the MySpace hit sensation band Oh, Hush! decided to pay tribute to Bella via Jacob with their catchy song, “Irresistible.” In the first of a two-part interview, learn more about the intriguing band.
Completely elusive and far from one-dimensional, the band Oh, Hush! originated back in the summer of 2007 when a group of friends from various bands collaborated and decided to create a single group. Enticing listeners to focus solely on their music, the band chose to leave their identities a secret.
"A new project would allow us to move into musical directions not really explored in our other projects," says the spokesperson for Oh, Hush!, whose only identity revealed is that of a unicorn- a man who has read the Twilight Saga.

So yeah, the thought of having to live through something that I find so worthwhile, and then subsequently have people learn from that through your own experience, I would do anything. I would jump off a cliff for it. Oh! There’s cliff-jumping in our movie. Perfect! (Laughs)
On being with the vampires or the werewolves:
Kristen shouldn’t open her mouth (Laughs). Kristen is entirely torn. Kristen should stop using her name in the third person.
Billy simply loves his son and his family (tribe). Billy is the wise tribal leader, who, because he isn’t a werewolf, understands the dangers and complexities of the “tentative” peace between the Cullens and the Quileute tribe. He knows the dangers that the Cullens present to Bella and others. Billy is the glue that holds the tribe and its traditions together.
In what ways are you and Billy Black similar?
We’re both “down with the kids.” We both have a genuine compassion for the human condition. We both recharge our souls with Mother Nature, and we both keep it real.

On Aro:
"I'm all done on it; I had a great time," he told us. "It was nice to go in and not be playing the main part, just go in for a few days and play this really really extraordinary character. I remember I was thinking, 'Oh, there's a bit of a Child Catcher here [from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang]; bit of the Blue Meanie from The Yellow Submarine; bit of Olivier from Richard III. There was a bit of all kinds of stuff."
On Chris Weitz:
"It was great to work with Chris Weitz; it was a really funny set, really relaxed. We had a lot of things in common, and hopefully we're going to work together again soon doing something. That might be the thing that I direct, I don’t know yet, you never know."
On working with Rob and Kristen:
"It was quite intimidating being on the set with so many young, beautiful people. That was quite extraordinary being the old, ugly one amongst loads of young, beautiful ones. It's not something I'm used to really. Not because I'm young and beautiful but usually there's loads of old, ugly people around me. It was quite encouraging to see how Robert and Kristin are committed to it, how much they put into it and how serious they are about it. They don't take it lightly at all so that was great to see."
Justin Chon was at the star-studded 9th annual Lupus LA's Orange Ball in Beverly Hills, where he talked New Moon.
The event, hosted by "CSI: Miami" star Eva La Rue, featured a live auction and a special performance by Toni Braxton.
Lupus LA and Lupus Research Institute (LRI) are partnering up to fundraise for new lupus research that aims to prevent, treat and cure lupus.
MTV's interview with Catherine Hardwicke, where she reveals alternate lines to "You better hold on tight, spider monkey.." (swoon...):
Then we saw her personal shrine to “Twilight” — one of the best “Twilight” collections. She has the original script and the first “Twilight” book she bought, complete with all her notes and alternate lines for Edward’s “Hold on tight, spider monkey.” (Robert chose that one after reading 10 alternative lines that Catherine wrote the night before, including “Wrap your legs around me and hold on tight, spider monkey” and “Fasten your seatbelt, it’s going to be a bumpy ride.”) It was nice to see that Catherine also keeps her fan mail and gifts that Twilighters send her. The best ones make it into the shrine.
Another great moment was seeing the words to Paramore’s “Decode” written out by frontwoman Hayley Williams herself. When Hayley first played Catherine the song, the director thought the song gave away too much of the story. Hayley wrote it out so Catherine could really look at the words — apparently it all worked out, because now “Decode” is nominated for Best Song at the Movie Awards.
