Kissing expert analyzes and compares Rob and Zac' s kissing styles

Kissing expert, Andrea Demirjian, analyzes and compares the HSM3 Kiss with that of Twilight:

It doesn’t hurt that the pair isn’t acting—they’re also a couple when the cameras stop rolling. “What is evident is that they are very much in love,” Demirjian said. “It’s tender, it’s soft, it’s gentle. You can tell how much he loves her because he’s smiling as he kisses her, because he’s just so happy.” She also approved of their chemistry and “body interaction,” and called the scene “one of the sweetest things I’ve seen in a long time.”

When it comes to Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart's forbidden vampire-on-human kiss, Demirjian was impressed. “I looked at this one a few times, cuz I was like, ‘whoa!’” she laughed. “The kiss was so sexy, just the way their lips were grazing against each other—it wasn’t deep-throat tongue kissing.” Part of the appeal of this silver-screen kiss is the tension, Demirjian said, which gave the eventual smooch “all the perfect makings of suspense and anticipation. And that makes a kiss more desirous.”

HSM gets a 3 1/2-4 out of 5 in kissing stars, while Twilight scores a strong 4 out of 5....

Pattinson Takes a Breather Before Tackling Cannes

Back home for a break before resuming filming, Robert Pattinson had quite the action-packed stay while residing up in Vancouver for "New Moon".

He really did look extra pretty on his birthday. Especially the close up on his face, see? Framed by his hood, mouth closed in a semi pout, Robert Pattinson quivered the loyal fans waiting outside in the rain last night as he celebrated his birthday at Glowbal in Yaletown. He did not disappoint, gamely signing autographs and posing for photos before leaving.

Started out as a small group, just RP and an older gentleman, Kristen Stewart, and his friend Sam Bradley but others arrived as the night progressed: Ashley Greene, Jamie Campbell Bower, Charlie Bewley were the other Twilight actors in attendance and several other non-famous folks toasted Pattinson’s 23rd. Noticeably absent: Taylor Lautner. He was with Selena Gomez last night and am told may not have been invited.

Today: Shooting Bella bedroom scenes. He goes through her photos and she cries and mopes some more when there are no photos. Also something about her opening her eyes and there he is beside her waiting for her to wake up. Pattinson is concurrently continuing green screen work with the other vampires. Winding down his stay in Vancouver.

Alex Meraz is a Big, Bad Wolf... IN A MOVIE, people!

"Someone started yelling at me because they didn't like my character," Meraz told us last night at a Carrera Vintage Sunglasses party at the Chateau Marmont hotel.

"I play a bad boy, so she got mad at me," he added. "She said, 'I hate you, Paul!' That was the craziest thing for me—being confused for a character."

"I yelled back at her, 'I love you, too!'" he said.

But Rob still holds the prime sex-symbol status:

"Rob's just kind of soaking it up for everyone," Meraz said. "I'm happy to have just a smidgen of what he's got...I'm not worried about being a sex symbol."

It sounds like Meraz will be around for awhile. He kind of revealed that he may already be signed on to reprise his role in the third Twilight flick. "The next movie we're doing is Eclipse, so I'll wait to read the book a couple weeks before we start doing it, so I can really focus on it," Meraz said. "I don't want to spread myself too thin."

Life & Style Mag talks about Robert Pattinson before Twilight became his claim to fame:

Although Rob sometimes took cover from his siblings, he was known for hamming it up at family gatherings. “I remember we had a party in the garden one July,” Diana recalls, according to a report from Life & Style. “We had a wonderful game to see how many doughnuts we could eat without licking our lips. It’s impossible - Rob was covered in jam.” Note: *drops dead*

But the report notes that Rob had cleaned up his act by the time he transferred from the all-boys Tower House prep school to the coed Harrodian School at age 12. “It was a real turning point for me,” admits the actor, who earned pocket change then by delivering newspapers and walking dogs.

School chum Will Robinson can testify that Rob was a heartthrob in the making. “Rob had a very, very big grin on his face constantly and was always cheeky in class,” he says. “Everyone liked him, though. He was a popular kid.”

Instead, he dedicated himself to drama club at the age of 15 after he and his dad noticed so many pretty girls were members. “The Barnes Theatre Club was a very good group,” says Rob, who initially spent his time helping out backstage. “I auditioned for Guys and Dolls and got a tiny part as some Cuban dancer or something. In the next play, I got the lead part, and then I got my agent. So I owe everything to that little club.”

And the leading man is happy to share his success with this close-knit clan - even escorting then to Twilight’s London premiere last December. But all the perks for his friends and family also come with possible pitfalls. “I’m worried about ruining their lives,” Robert laments. “Especially with people who aren’t famous. It’s such a massive change. I’m kind of a paranoid wreck.”

Tom Lennon Thinks He Should Score Points for Kissing Paul Rudd, but Pattinson's got it in the bag...

"I Love You, Man" co-star Tom Lennon isn't surprised that "Twilight" couple Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are up for Best Kiss at the MTV Movie Awards, but frankly, he thinks his kiss with Paul Rudd is more deserving of the Golden Popcorn.

"Pattinson, Stewart — no doubt some great Frenching going on, and I respect that, but for level of difficulty, if this was the Olympics, kissing Robert Pattinson is like a three on the difficulty," Lennon told MTV News. "There's no trick to doing that. I don't know why you get awards for kissing Robert Pattinson. You're not going to find anybody down in Times Square that's gonna run up and wanna kiss me. Rudd did, and that's points for difficulty."

Oh, YUM... what I clamor to read... an interview with Robert Pattinson from Moviefone-- here are the juicy parts:

I read that you were really nervous about filming the nude scenes and the explicit scenes, how did you prepare yourself for those?

[Laughs] I had so many ridiculous answers just come into my head [more laughs]. I had a penis implant! I don't know, I just kind of, it's funny because Spanish people are so ... have no problem with nudity at all, I mean at all, and English people obviously do have, like, the most enormous problem with it. It's like little things, like when I saw my father getting changed for swimming I got, like, traumatized by it ... I don't really know what I did, I just kind of freaked out a bit. [Laughs]

You were playing a real person -- how did that affect your preparation? Did you study up a lot on Dali?

Yeah, I mean it's nice. There are certain things like studying photos. I never really concentrated on my body in a performance before, well not to such an extent, and there were tons and tons of photos of him and he had quite strange posturing ... There was one photo where he's pointing at something, and I guess it's quite nice, and I was trying to figure out "How do you point like that?" Then you realize "Oh, shit. You get your arm and ohhh..." and suddenly it clicks into place. And then when you realize you're walking right and stuff, and people -- Spanish people! -- know who you're playing, without the moustache, they know immediately just by looking in your eyes, it's very satisfying. I like the idea of that; I'd quite like to do it again. And I'm always quite attracted to playing real people.


How are you handling the massive, instant fame and the craziness?

It's quite stressful in a way, but it's only when you're by yourself. When I have my friends around it doesn't make any difference. I just spend a lot of time by myself, and I used to walk around the block by myself in various different cities, and I don't know, you start to feel a bit vulnerable, I guess. [Laughs]

How's the energy on 'New Moon' compared to 'Twilight,' because for 'Twilight' no one was sure if it was going to do well and now, obviously ...

Yeah, it's scary. It's a very, very different experience. Last time we were just kind of ... it was so easy to get the entire cast together. We'd all have dinner almost every day and be able to talk about it freely and stuff. Now it's quite difficult to even leave the hotel. And all these random little stories become someway, somehow newsworthy, so you have to be very secretive about everything. Even if you want to just clarify something in the script or something. It's just strange. It's just very different ... It's very strange when you're aware of being observed, I guess.

Would you do full-frontal nudity like Daniel Radcliffe did?

I think it would depend on what it is. Yeah, it really does depend on what it is. And I don't think a lot of people would really want to see that. I think it would ruin the illusion. [Laughs] Note to Rob: I'm willing to chance it.

Pattinson to star in "Remember Me"

Breaking News from the Screen Daily:

Pattinson is starring in Remember Me which is shooting this summer in New York while the actor is between Twilight sequels New Moon, which wraps at the end of May, and Eclipse, which starts in August.

Allen Coulter, the award-winning TV director (The Sopranos, Damages) who made his feature debut with Hollywoodland in 2006, is directing the film and Nick Osborne and Trevor Engelson of Underground Films (License To Wed) are producing.

Summit co-chairman and CEO Patrick Wachsberger wouldn’t go into too much detail on the plot but described the film as this generation’s Love Story. A female lead is in the process of being cast, while Rachel Getting Married writer Jenny Lumet has finished the latest draft of the screenplay.

Pattinson Anonymous suggests that the original movie for which Pattinson was rumored to be a contender, "Memoirs," was retitled "Remember Me."

Rumor Control: Rob and Kristen will NOT be making Vampy Babies!!!

Just at the grocery store today, racks of mags headlined the love tryst between Rob, Kristen and Nikki. SMUT, I say!

Rob will clear the air once and for all tonight in his interview for ET:

"It becomes a joke," the dreamy-eyed Brit tells Entertainment Tonight in an interview slated to air on Friday. "There was some magazine the other day about me and Kristen and when you look at it and realize it's on the front of a magazine… You realize that people are actually reading that even though how ridiculous it is. It's really bizarre."

In fact, all the sudden attention about Rob's love life has turned him into a "paranoid wreck" about how to handle a new relationship. "I'm always really worried about ruining their lives," he explains. "Especially with people that aren't famous. It's such a massive change."

Take that, Ted Casablanca!!!

The Independent has a fantastic interview with the hawtest British boy known to man. Maybe I'm a bit partial, but reading about Robert Pattinson "rubbing his sleepy eyes" just makes me want to crawl back in bed with him....

About Twilight Fame:
Rubbing his sleepy eyes, he admits he's still trying to get his head round it all. "So many people have watched Twilight or heard about it, you can be sitting anywhere and the chances are someone will come up and recognise you." This, he adds, included coming out of a sandwich shop in Yorkshire, and being accosted by the only person on an otherwise empty street and being asked for a photo. "How can you have immediate recognition in Guisborough coming out of Benjis?" he giggles. "That was very strange!"

About Little Ashes:
"If you read some of his early-life autobiography, it's horrible... the amount of mental anguish he has to go through, just to have any kind of even vaguely sexual relationship. It's really depressing what he's going through in his head. Dali had a massive fear of penetration – penetrating someone or being penetrated."

According to Pattinson, he sees playing Dali as a turning point in his career. "To not betray or insult someone's memory, it seemed a lot more important than other jobs I've done before," he says. "I definitely felt I had a lot of freedom when I was doing for various reasons." Still, how does he think the Twilight fans will react to his love scenes with Beltran? "I think girls" – at this point he can't stop himself from a smutty chortle – "almost really like watching something like that. From what I've read, people really get excited about that – it sounds really sexy!"

About his love life:

"I don't really care about it," he shrugs. "I have the same little set of friends and I don't have anyone who would really get affected adversely [by false rumours]. Every single person who they sort of romantically link me to... I just don't even really know anyone. So it doesn't really affect me that much." Is there any truth to the persistent rumour hooking him up with Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart? "Er, no," he states. "I don't understand where that even comes from."

On-set New Moon Interview with the Man Himself- Robert Pattinson

Instead of sifting through loads of teasers, which is a pleasure in itself for the eye-candy, In Case You Didn't Know provides the low-down on the Twi-cast interviews with ET:

Robert Pattinson says it feels “surprisingly natural” to be back in character as “Edward Cullen.” “I’m not stressed at all on this job, so it’s kind of a nice feeling. Since the film was a success so you get a little more free reign and people are more trusting.”

He goes on to assure fans that they will get plenty of Edward Cullen in the film, even though his character in the book is largely absent from the story. “It’s as close as possible to the book,” he says. “(In the film) it’s an illusion when he appears. I think if you do it with voice-over as they do in the book, it would end up being quite cheesy. But it’s very subtle, my presence. It’s actually quite scary because Bella is kind of going a little bit nuts. I was worried about having too much presence because you really need that relationship with Jacob to drive to the third and fourth books. You really need that triangle.”

On how life has changed for the cast since the success of Twilight, Rob says, “Now it’s funny, you can’t even get through to people on the phone. They won’t even let you ring people up. I can’t even ring down to reception and say let them (visitors) up. I have to literally go down and carry them.”

Rob admits that his sudden fame has had an effect on his friendships and personal relationships, “I’m always really worried about ruining their lives. Especially with people that aren’t famous. It’s such a massive change. I’m kind of a paranoid wreck. I’ve eaten a lot of room service.”

Taylor Lautner, who gained 30 pounds of muscle for his role as “Jacob Black,” tells ET how he felt when rumors swirled that another actor might be cast in New Moon, “When we wrapped Twilight I knew where Jacob’s character was going, so I started to get to work immediately. I started hitting the gym. I just stayed focused the whole time and the role was always mine. It was a lot of hard work but it’s definitely paying off now.”

On the pressure to make this film another box office success, he says, “Now we have very high expectations. It’s a little nerve-wracking at points, but for the most part it’s just really exciting to be back and going.”

Kristen Stewart, “Bella Swan,” tells ET that Rob will have a chance to play a more frightening Edward in this film, “The dream sequences are really eerie. Edward gets a chance to be a little bit more scary and not so perfect.”

When asked if she is an Edward girl or a Jacob girl, Kristen exclaims, “I’m seriously not even allowed to answer that question!” (Note: she must've had some media training on this one- Kristen's mentioned before that she'd be Team Edward.)

When asked if Rob had a sister, who would he rather have her date, Edward Cullen or Jacob Black, he laughs and jokes, “Edward’s wealthier!”

On their heels, The Improper fielded a survey asking who would be best suited for Rob, and over 13,000 women responded:


95.3 percent (12,300 fans)– said that Kristen would be the best match for the laid-back, fun-loving Rob.
1.69 percent (219 fans)- voted for Natalie Portman
1.25 percent (169 fans)- voted for Nikki Reed
The rest of the votes, less than 2 percent, were cast for other people.

Both Rob and Kristen have said that they have found it hard to deal with their sudden fame because they know fans are relating more to their characters than to them directly.

Lines between Robert Pattinson and Edward Cullen are often blurred

Rob told Elle Japan, "I don't have a 'type. I like it when people aren't afraid to express themselves in what they wear or how they behave. It's annoying when people are afraid to be themselves."

Rob has also mentioned the preference for strong, intellectual and even older women. "Even though it sounds odd, I like self confidence," he says. "What's strange is that I mostly like strong girls, but with them, I have the most problems."
