Exclusive Little Ashes clips: Robert Pattinson is an amazing actor

Of three things I am absolutely certain:

1. My blog was in the crapper this morning- Alison from TwiFans and Sofia were kind enough to bring it to my attention. All should be well now.

2. I am in heaven right now watching "How to Be," and I am irrevocably convinced that Robert Pattinson is one of the best actors EVER (the other being Edward Norton.) I am ADORING this boy.

Is it warped that even though he's sporting that giant mop of hair, orange unlaced Converse high-tops and a giant plaid, frumpy jacket, I still want to push him back against his junky old sports car and do unspeakable things to him?

Whew... went to my happy place for a minute.

3. What makes it worse is that I STILL want to do that, even after seeing these exclusive Little Ashes clips from The Sun?! Thanks, Vitamin!

"How to Be" Reignited Pattinson's Passion

After his role as Cedric Diggory in the 2005 hit Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Pattinson was unable to secure any roles that reignited his passion for acting... until How to Be came along.

Oliver Irving spoke to People.com about Pattinson's reconsideration and thoughts on becoming a musician:

"He was thinking about giving up acting and maybe doing music solely when this role (in How To Be) came along. He wanted to play the roles he wasn't getting... He was looking for something more challenging."

Irving adds: "I said, 'You're banned from cutting your hair between now and the shoot.' We had to give him the most awkward haircut we possibly could, and we cut his trouser length a little bit too high. Things like that played down his apparent good looks."

And Irving insists Pattinson rose to the challenge, often showing off musical skills too advanced for his character: "He downplayed how good he was. A lot of the time he would turn out to have a really good (instrument) technique and we told him he needed to play it more simply."

The "How to Be" soundtrack is a 23-song collection. In addition to Pattinson's three tracks, the disc includes songs from Love, Captain Beefheart and the Roches. A 12-page booklet featuring song lyrics and never-before-seen "How to Be" photos will be included in both the CD and digital versions. The CD also comes with one of two movies posters.

How to Be comes to TV!!!!

RPattz fans- you don't have to attend an indie flick festival to see Rob's charming awkwardness in "How to Be" Beginning April 29, the movie will available for viewers on-demand.

"How to Be" follows Art, a struggling singer/songwriter as he moves back in with his parents post-breakup and hires a full-time self-help guru to help him work through the pain and become "more normal."

Robert not only stars in the film but also performs three original songs on the soundtrack, which will be released on CD and as a digital download through iTunes and other online retailers on April 28.

Behind the Scenes of "How To Be"

How to Be will be released on a U.S. tour of film festivals beginning April 10 in Las Vegas.

In the film, Rob plays a depressed London musician who moves back home to fix his seemingly useless life after stumbling upon a self-help book called It’s Not Your Fault.

The 22-year-old actor looks dramatically different than the sex icon we know and love, sporting a long, shaggy 'do, disheveled clothing, and lacking all the self-confidence we saw from his character in Twilight. Check out the behind-the-scenes footage from the flick:
