MTV reports Twilight Rules Comic Con - is ANYONE surprised by this?

I have to admit that traveling like mad for work last week and then heading to the beach last weekend totally upended my plans for holing up in some quiet space with a bottle of red and my laptop to drool over all the Comic Con coverage online. Despite this, I was not at all surprised that Twilight once again staged a coup at Comic Con, taking over all the excitement and news for the event!
"Yes, I have heard of this fabulous person named Cullenized and her mentor Twilight Moonlighter (though I prefer her original name), and I think they're HOT!"
MTV has additional coverage proving that our fave mythical creatures (and their human counterparts) really are the best! Check out the scoop here

A day in the life of a Twi-Mom Blogger

Raise your hand if this is you! The Robsten girls have no qualms about spilling a day in their life... I can relate:

Both of us are on Twi-diets so we can look great at the upcoming Comic Con…one of us is down to size 6 jeans while one of us has uhhhh….a way to go. The size 6 is diligently dieting, exercising, and has nursing on her side and the other was feeling guilty after a nasty margarita hang over from the weekend, so decided to attempt the treadmill this morning.

Now I wish this was fiction but it’s just plain not…I attempted to look for my workout shoes for forty-five minutes and could only find one, so I finally conceded to working out in flip-flops (highly not recommended, but I did work up a sweat)…

I just found the dang other work out shoe in the oven when I was attempting to power cook for the week so my husband doesn’t notice that I get on the computer to blog as soon as he walks in the door. Yes…it was in the oven!!!
Shoe drying by mpieracci.

I know it was my three year old boy who just walked by with the toilet bowl cleaner and is now cleaning the back patio sliding glass door with it (someone has to do it)…so I’m off to invest in oven locks.

Check out their blog- they attended the MTV Awards and have some giveaways in the works!

Pattinson and pals helped bring in 76% more viewers to MTV than last year

Robert Pattinson, his on-screen romantic lead Kristen Stewart, and hunky werewolf Taylor Lautner helped introduce the debut of the New Moon teaser trailer during the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, which scored a whopping 76 percent more viewers than last year.

Its average audience of 5.3 million was the show's biggest since 2004.

This is the second awards show this year in which a little bit of Pattinson has helped produce a whole lot of ratings. February's Oscars, featuring Pattinson on presenting duty, saw its numbers zoom among teens and kids.

Missed the MTV Movie Awards? Out of the U.S.? Watch it here!

Here's the opener- go HERE to watch the whole show!

MTV Movie Awards Seating Catfights

I'm back from a much- needed night away with hubby sans kids, and I'm in heaven because we talked Twilight much of the time...

BUT- Are you kidding me? This is when it STINKS being west-coast bound... the MTV awards don't even start for an hour and a half over this way, so to keep you updated, I have to sneak peeks at other sites to find out the deets... I'll post what I find here in a minute...

It is 7:30- another 15 minutes and I can catch the trailer *screams in delight* and post it here (hopefully).

*RANT COMPLETE*

In the meantime, I found this little diddy on the MTV Movie Award seating catfights...

It's supposed to be the young and fun awards show, but tonight's MTV Movie Awards seems to be the same old clash of bloated Hollywood egos—at least judging by the preshow seating arrangement squabbles.

According to gossip mavens at Page Six, "A producer looked at the original seating chart and realized the whole thing had to be reworked because so many people in the house hated one another."
Rob & Kris Golden Carpet MTV Movie Awards 2008 by Lu ♥.

The former music television channel's stars seemed to be causing most of the rhubarb: Reality star Whitney Port reportedly had to be moved away from Twilight's Kristen Stewart, since Whit had dissed the vampire flick as "really bad" and dinged Stewart as "one-dimensional." Seriously, though, isn't that one dimension more than Whitney's shown?

Wrap your legs around me, Fasten your seatbelt, it's gonna be a bumpy ride, You Better Hold On Tight, Spider Monkey

MTV's interview with Catherine Hardwicke, where she reveals alternate lines to "You better hold on tight, spider monkey.." (swoon...):

Then we saw her personal shrine to “Twilight” — one of the best “Twilight” collections. She has the original script and the first “Twilight” book she bought, complete with all her notes and alternate lines for Edward’s “Hold on tight, spider monkey.” (Robert chose that one after reading 10 alternative lines that Catherine wrote the night before, including “Wrap your legs around me and hold on tight, spider monkey” and “Fasten your seatbelt, it’s going to be a bumpy ride.”) It was nice to see that Catherine also keeps her fan mail and gifts that Twilighters send her. The best ones make it into the shrine.

Another great moment was seeing the words to Paramore’s “Decode” written out by frontwoman Hayley Williams herself. When Hayley first played Catherine the song, the director thought the song gave away too much of the story. Hayley wrote it out so Catherine could really look at the words — apparently it all worked out, because now “Decode” is nominated for Best Song at the Movie Awards.

Andy Samberg: Twilight Makes Me Jizz

Up and coming SNL star, Andy Samberg will host the MTV Movie Awards this year, and dished on Twilight in a recent interview with Marc Malkin:

I have to tell you that my dream headline for this story is: "Andy Samberg: 'Twilight Makes Me Jizz!' "

Do you want me to say that?

Yes.

Twilight makes me jizz, man. But will you include that you asked me to say that?

Yeah—I forced Andy Samberg to jizz. OK, how many times have you seen Twilight?

I've seen Twilight once. But I've seen scenes from Twilight many times in my dreams. You know what I mean? In a lot of ways I see Twilight constantly every day, because once you see it, it stays with you forever.

When I reported that the Movie Awards will include a first look at New Moon, fans went crazy. People are insane about it.

They love playing baseball! What's not to love? If you told me that we were going to make this movie about vampires that are really, really good at baseball, I would say, "Sign me on!"

Are you Team Edward or Team Jacob?

Edward all the way.

Why is that?

He's steamy!

See, I didn't ask you to say that!

I never root for the underdog. I always root for the crowd favorite. Big Yankees fan, big Manchester United fan.

It's not too late to vote for Twilight for best film- DON'T let Slumdog Millionaire beat it out!

New Moon Clip Debuts May 31 at MTV Awards!!!!

E! Online reports exclusively that the MTV Awards show producer Mark Burnett says Patzz, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will hit the stage together to present the clip.

An action packed, minute-long clip from Twilight showing Edward battling badboy bloodsucker James (Cam Gigandet) made its debut at last year's awards. It was also the first time Pattinson and Stewart walked a red carpet together in support of the movie.

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner

"Fans can tune-in to the show to see sneak peeks from three of the most highly anticipated movies of the year," Burnett tells me. "These clips have never been seen before and we're very excited that The Twilight Saga: New Moon is one of them."

Nikki Reed feels strongly about sticking to the New Moon story

Nikki Reed tells MTV that it's imperative New Moon stick to the books, and even dishes that an original scene was cut because it strayed from the book too much:

..."she won't be going to Italy with hopes that Weitz will see her on set and decide he might as well interject Rosalie into some additional scenes. "Absolutely not," she promised. "No. I feel so strongly about them sticking to the books.

"In fact, there was a scene in a very early draft of the 'New Moon' [script] that they had invented that was not in the books," Reed revealed. "And there was a discussion, and that scene is no longer in the script.

"I think that the only way that we can succeed is to stick to the books," she insisted. "If you are worried about how to please the fans, you will fail if you don't stick to the books."

http://www.the-link.ws/stars/photos/992286/nikkireed.jpg
Reed also dishes, though, that she won't miss out on the opportunity to be in Italy during shooting:

"I am not in any of the scenes in Italy, but we've already made sure that I am going to Italy while they shoot that," Nikki Reed laughed, revealing plans to witness the Volturi firsthand. "Because I am sort of obsessed with that portion of the book."

As Twilighters know, Nikki's no-nonsense vampire Rosalie will check out of the film along with many other key characters once the Italian scenes begin. But Reed promised her fans that if you want Rosalie to be there when Alice and Bella rush to save Edward, well, she kinda will be.

Thanks, TwiCrack, for the tweet!

Tom Lennon Thinks He Should Score Points for Kissing Paul Rudd, but Pattinson's got it in the bag...

From MTV:
"I Love You, Man" co-star Tom Lennon isn't surprised that "Twilight" couple Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are up for Best Kiss at the MTV Movie Awards, but frankly, he thinks his kiss with Paul Rudd is more deserving of the Golden Popcorn.

"Pattinson, Stewart — no doubt some great Frenching going on, and I respect that, but for level of difficulty, if this was the Olympics, kissing Robert Pattinson is like a three on the difficulty," Lennon told MTV News. "There's no trick to doing that. I don't know why you get awards for kissing Robert Pattinson. You're not going to find anybody down in Times Square that's gonna run up and wanna kiss me. Rudd did, and that's points for difficulty."

Thanks for the laugh, My Twilight Saga Blog!
