On Twilight:

It was a little stressful because as we kept filming, the press kept getting more of it and the fans kept being more into it. All these websites started popping up, and all these things. It was amazing. It was like, 'Oh, wow, this is going to be something else!' We started making this movie and people are already loving it and it's not even out yet. I wasn't really prepared for it, but I was really thankful for it, because they're so supportive of what we do. As an actor, you need an audience."

On New Moon:

It was just really nice to kind of get back together and have that family environment. In terms of having a new director, nothing really changed too much. It was just a different subtle vibe, because the director manages the energy on set. It was great. We all wanted to come together and make another great piece of art for the fans. It's really about what they want to see, because they're the ones buying the tickets."

On doing his own stunts:

He did say that the recent trailer didn't show the entire scene of him getting thrown into the piano, but that he did get to do a lot more of his own stunts in the movie. "That's only the beginning of it. They didn't show the entire thing. It's gonna be a really action-packed movie."

Rathbone does Varg Vikernes

Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet features Jackson Rathbone, who will take on the part of Norwegian Varg Vikernes in the movie about his life, Lords of Chaos!

“In September they’ll start shooting Lords of Chaos, a movie about Varg “Greven” Vikernes and the Norwegian black metal community. The movie is based on the book Lords of Chaos: The Bloody Rise of The Satanic Metal Underground, by Didrik Søderlind and Michael Moynihan.

-Why did you choose to make this movie?:

It’s a fascinating subject, a great visual world, and an interesting portrait of Norway. It’s possible that black metal has been Norways biggest cultural export the last 20 years. It’s a story about young people and youthful energy, says Pollok (producer), and emphasizes that it’s likely to be a teen psychological thriller.

Radar Online had an exclusive interview with Jackson, who also provided a picture of his younger years. Jackson's quite the clown, so be sure an check out the entire interview. Here's a snippet:

RadarOnline: Your character in Twilight, Jasper, is so withdrawn and cold. Do you think fans are a little hesitant to approach you in public? Especially compared with some of your castmates?

Jackson Rathbone: People rarely recognize me, which is actually pretty sweet. I try to change my look in every role I take on: clothing, hairstyle, walk, facial expression, and the way I speak. Sometimes it's subtle and sometimes it's not, but as I am not a blonde in real life, people often do the double look before approaching me.

RO: You said in a recent interview that all the Cullen guys worked out together in the hotel gym during filming. So tell us: who can bench press the most?

JR: That would be Kellan [Lutz]. He truly is Emmett.

RO: You have a tattoo that reads “I’m Lost…” Is there a story behind it?

RO: You’re the only boy among four siblings. Did any particular feminine traits or habits rub off on you after growing up in a houseful of sisters?

JR: No. I got stuck with all the masculinity. I taught my sisters how to fight.

RO: You’ve said the cast members of Twilight and New Moon are really close, so what’s one thing about each of your co-stars you think might surprise people?

JR: None of them are vampires in real life! Gasp!

"Today while Kellan was speaking to his adoring fans during the Q&A Session, Jackson had the EyeCon Tattoo Artist give him a second tattoo. I heard that it was a heart (maybe on his back) and perhaps said, 'I Love Mom..'"

Dread Jackson Rathbone

My bloggy friend over at Twilight Sisterhood saw a screening of Jackson Rathbone in Dread last night and offered this commentary:

Overall dread is actually a good movie but very gory, if blood makes squeamish then you'll be like me and hide your face in your hoodie. There were several What the Eff?!?! moments because you were not sure if it was an illusion or real. Rathbone plays Stephen with ackward artistic quiet charm just when you think Stephen was weak he'd come back with quiet strength.

JACKSON RATHBONE: I only have one right now, but I definitely plan on getting more. My friends and I were kind of the bad kids in school, the troublemakers. We went to Interlochen Arts Academy, this really great boarding school in Michigan, and there were six of us who were always acting out against authority. The school administration was like, "Stay away from those boys-they're ‘Lost Boys,'" so that's what everyone called us. When I was 18, I got a tattoo that says, "I'm lost."

Robert Pattinson Sounds Super Smexy when he Swears

That's the first thing that crossed my mind when I read this from yet another Twi-cast stalker, who was fortunate enough to grab pics with RPattz, Rachelle, and Jackson at the 100 Monkeys concert:

One of the daughters of the ladies from Tennessee asked rob if he can hold her like he held bella in the movie poster.. in which he responded with a “FUCK NO”.



Rachelle LeFevre aka Victoria came out to take some pictures. She was an absolute sweetheart. I told her her hair was fucking fierce and she laughed and said thanks:



Then the almighty jackson rathbone came out in all his confederate, mohawk glory to take pictures like he promised. I guess the word spread that he was taking pictures behind the theatre and a whole swarm of girls came from the theatre to take pictures with him. I wish I got a pic of his reaction.. it was clearly one of “oh shit”. But I managed to take quick picture.

Getting Intimate with Ashley Greene

Ashley Greene talked to the Herald Sun about her new-found success as Alice in the Twilight Saga, and even dishes about her chemistry with on-screen beau, Jasper (Jackson Rathbone):

"I'm still getting used to the go, go, go Hollywood lifestyle which has definitely thrown me into a realm where I'm struggling a little bit," says Greene, who was a fan of the books long before she auditioned for the role of Alice.

"As an actor you want people to know you and there are times you want your pictures taken, but it's unnerving to walk out of a venue with friends and there are 20 people flashing lights in your face. Do you know how bright those lights are?"

The chemistry between Greene and on-screen partner Jasper Hale (played by best-friend Jackson Rathbone) has lead to rumours the two are dating.

Though Greene is adamant they are not, she admits the only thing keeping them apart is their hectic schedules.

"He and I both don't have time to date, but we do have amazing chemistry," she says.

"We both have such big crushes on each other and it clearly shows. We got along instantly and the day we met, he was teaching me how to swing dance.

"He (Rathbone) does everything. He sings, he dances, and he's so sweet. Even my mum has a crush on him and tells me, 'You should date him'. So, who knows, maybe when we both stop running around the world."

Arrived back in Vancouver yesterday to shoot New Moon. Also apparently played a couple of shows with his band.

Now this…this is a man of style. Not in the LipGloss Zac Efron way but he cares to a healthy extent about his clothes, about how he looks. A tie, a waistcoat, and a jacket over old, faded jeans and boots – on an airplane! – and it doesn’t seem like it took him an hour to get dressed.

Jackson Rathbone answers some of your "burning" questions in an exclusive interview...

Nah, not from me. But Amanda Bell from one of my favorite sources of all things Twilight scored an interview with him. Go to the Twilight Examiner for the whole scoop; here are some of the highlights:

On Twilight:
About the film, I asked Jackson Rathbone, “In New Moon, your character is supposed to take a bigger bite (pun intended) into the series, with Jasper showing his more thirsty side. How are you preparing yourself for these scenes?” Jackson replied, “for that pun, you should be ‘pun’ished . . . I haven’t had a drink in 35 days.” Clever fellow, he is.

On New Moon:
I asked, “In Twilight, Jasper was dancing around the fire while Bella bled out from her James-inflicted wounds, and in New Moon, a little papercut is supposed to send Jasper over the edge. Some fans worry that this inconsistency will de-legitimize some of the scenes in New Moon. How are you and the crew planning to handle this?”

Jackson says, "It’s all in the old saying, ‘Location, location, location . . .’ Once you realize the immense animalistic impulses a vampire has, you realize . . . every little thing is more intense. The smell from a vampire-burning bonfire, the adrenaline from the kill, and the exhaustion from the chase . . . basically, in terms of scent, the difference is between a dance studio filled with smells [of] burning and violence, as opposed to the Cullen Family living room, which is filled with the smell of birthday cake. There is no inconsistency, don’t worry."

On his growing popularity:
Despite his accelerating stardom and ever-growing fanbase, Jackson has remained a complete gentleman to his fans as well as the media, so I asked him “how do you keep such a warm smile on your face amidst all the Twilight chaos?” Put simply, Jackson replied that “in the monkey kingdom, baring one’s teeth has a different connotation. Beware.”

On the impending TwiCon Convention:
Jackson, whose smile may or may not have a double-meaning, will be featured in this summer's TwiCon festival in Dallas, Texas. I asked him if he was looking forward to it, and he said that he’s “only been waiting since last summer!”

Final thoughts to his fans:
Jackson added to his fans, “I wanna thank each and every one of you for existing! Without you, I’d be acting in an empty theatre . . . again. Much love, and respect.”

Exclusive: ‘Twilight’ hottie sinks teeth into ‘Criminal Minds’ role

Someone better make room on the crowded Twilight bandwagon, ’cause Criminal Minds is jumping on.

The CBS procedural has tapped Jackson Rathbone — a.k.a. Twilight vamp Jasper Hale — to guest star in an upcoming episode directed by Seinfeld’s Jason Alexander.

Rathbone will play a college student on spring break who may or may not be the target of a serial killer.

His episode is slated to air on April 8; set your TIVO!
