Fashion deets of the week: Bella's fugly fancy shoes

Make Me a Vampire discusses Bella's shoes today in her fashion post of the week. Aside from her Vans *gag*, she also scored the deets on her birthday shoes:

Thanks to newly released New Moon pictures, including this pic from the Bella's birthday scene, I'm also able to give you the details on exactly what kind of shoes Bella is wearing to her birthday party; they're called Vans Gisele in Black Turtledove Linen (that is one long name for a shoe, if you ask me):

With its cute, casual style, the Vans Gisele is easy on the eyes and on the sole. This mary-jane inspired style offers extra appeal with a ribbed toe bumper and double-stitched topline. An unobtrusive instep strap, fastened with Velcro, completes this comfort-loving look.

Anyway, I am fairly sure about this one, that these shoes are actually the exact pair Bella is wearing in New Moon. And I guess I'm not the only one who's figured this one out, because the shoes are currently sold out in every internet shop I've seen so far. Here they are:I, for one, am awed that anyone could figure these things out. I'll spend $300 on a Dooney & Bourke purse, but my shoes consist of Target flip flops, black slip on doo-hickies from Payless Shoe Source, some tennies for working out and a snazzy silver sparkly number for wooing Edward Cullen fancy events.

Bella's birthday cake: An exclusive interview with the cake maker

The pinnacle of the birthday party scene in New Moon, aside from the paper cut Bella receives and subsequent attack is the beautiful birthday cake that Alice has so graciously provided for the party, despite the fact that Bella is the only one who would partake.

In an exclusive interview, I learned more about the beautiful confection. Lisa Haas, wife of the creator, Thomas, fills in readers about how the cake came to be.

Blissfully unaware of the Twilight Saga, Haas was approached to concoct the confection after the set designer’s creation didn’t turn out as expected. Though he doesn’t know the significance to the green color palette, he was able to replicate the design perfectly in one day.

Oh, Hush! Interview and New Moon tribute song "Irresistable"

Inspired by the New Moon trailer, the MySpace hit sensation band Oh, Hush! decided to pay tribute to Bella via Jacob with their catchy song, “Irresistible.” In the first of a two-part interview, learn more about the intriguing band.

Completely elusive and far from one-dimensional, the band Oh, Hush! originated back in the summer of 2007 when a group of friends from various bands collaborated and decided to create a single group. Enticing listeners to focus solely on their music, the band chose to leave their identities a secret.

"A new project would allow us to move into musical directions not really explored in our other projects," says the spokesperson for Oh, Hush!, whose only identity revealed is that of a unicorn- a man who has read the Twilight Saga.

Twilight Gossip was on the prowl after Lainey Gossip reported:

“Shooting Bella bedroom scenes. He goes through her photos and she cries and mopes some more when there are no photos. Also something about her opening her eyes and there he is beside her waiting for her to wake up. Pattinson is concurrently continuing green screen work with the other vampires.”

The Twi-Gossip Gals decided to see for themselves and report back that, indeed, cameras are strategically placed inside Bella's room. Says Twilight Gossip, "From the picture below you will see that there’s some type of camera equipment from one of the windows in Bella’s house."

New Set-Stalking Photos: Movie Theater With Actors!!

How cool that they actually made a custom poster for the movie. How awesome would it be to get a print of one of these?

Taylor Lautner was in full getup as Jacob, and he looked good. Black jacket, dark shirt, and blue jeans. Wig looked great tonight and Taylor looked more chiseled than ever.

Got to see some scenes where Kristen was talking to Mike.

This was my first sighting of Chris Weitz, so it was great to see the New Moon director in a fabulous white sweater with a really cool black red and white scarf and jeans.

Mike Welch was looking dapper in a tan spring jacket and light blue button up shirt, blue jeans, and sneakers. Perfect for a date night out with Bella.

Twi-Fans turn rabid to catch a glimpse of a flimsy structure, a.k.a. Bella's House

I know Twilighters are absolutely ravenous for anything Twilight-related, but this set-stalking is gonna wear on the cast and crew nerves eventually...

The Now focuses on Twi-Hards who, today, are set-stalking Bella's house hoping to catch a glimpse of filming, which is set to start this evening:

"These people just get so caught up in it, a whirlpool of excitement, this hunt. I call it vampire hunting, because they're so desperate to see these sets to get a glimpse of the stars," says Christine Kilpatrick, People contributor.

Kilpatrick said she's surprised that so many women - as opposed to teen girls - are following the 'New Moon' action from site to site. Many of them stay connected using Twitter names dedicated to actor Pattinson, the "vampire" guy.

"Some of them keep the information (of set locations) secret - not out of respect but because they don't want anyone else going there," Kilpatrick said.

The structure is nothing but a shell meant for exterior shots, but it requires around-the-clock security to keep rabid fans from doing damage to it.

It has a chimney made of flimsy styrofoam, after all.

Imported trees and rearranged telephone poles help make things look authentic, too.

Early modeling pics of Robert seem salacious, but Kristen Stewart wasn't the cats' meow herself, says former schoolmates.

The Enquirer cites a source that says his adorable co-star and Twilight cutie Kristen Stewart was an ugly duckling as a child - and commonly mistaken for a boy, former classmates dished.

A yearbook photo taken six years ago when Kristen attended seventh grade in Calabasas, Calif - shows the "duckling" before she took flight as a swan, the report adds.

"The first week that Kristen showed up in her seventh grade class, everyone thought she was a boy," disclosed a former school pal. “It took most students a long time to realize she was actually a girl, and then we learned she was a star.”

“She wore her hair pulled back in a ponytail, baggy sweat clothes and boys’ tennis shoes...She was very athletic, dressing and acting the part of a typical jock. I felt bad for her because a lot of people made cruel jokes behind her back about how boyish she was."

This article is NOT meant to slam Kristen. Because really, who can look back at awkward pre-pubescent pictures and say "I looked smokin' in junior high!" Just goes to show that we're all just people, actors included.
