Richard and Judy need to read Breaking Dawn

Richard & Judy have selected 20 of their favourite Children's books across five categories for the Galaxy British Book Awards.

They are inviting all children to vote on this website for the one that they think is the very best, and the book with the most votes will be awarded the 2009 Children's Book of the Year award.

I'm torn. Obviously, I'd vote for anything Twilight Saga related in a heartbeat, but I wouldn't allow my child to read Breaking Dawn either. The fact that it's up against titles such as "Captain Underpants and the Preposterous Plight of the Purple Potty People" is somewhat alarming, don't you think?

  1. Boo Bunnies, I totally agree. What are they thinking???? There are lots of adult themes and gory detail...

  2. Not to mention the sex talks we'd have to have with tween daughters... yikes.
