Nik and Ash try and curb the cancer sticks

E! Online reports that Ashley Greene and Nikki Reed recognize the negative connotations that puffing their cancer sticks promote for younger viewers.

"Everyone on the cast smokes, and they are all trying to quit because they are on Twilight and know they are in the public eye," says a friend of Nikki. “[Ashley and Nikki] know they are role models for little kids. If there are a ton of paparazzi photos of them smoking, that's not a positive image."

Sources say that in order to help curb the habit, Ashley and Nikki are enlisting the help of SmokeStiks.

Nikki Reed feels strongly about sticking to the New Moon story

Nikki Reed tells MTV that it's imperative New Moon stick to the books, and even dishes that an original scene was cut because it strayed from the book too much:

..."she won't be going to Italy with hopes that Weitz will see her on set and decide he might as well interject Rosalie into some additional scenes. "Absolutely not," she promised. "No. I feel so strongly about them sticking to the books.

"In fact, there was a scene in a very early draft of the 'New Moon' [script] that they had invented that was not in the books," Reed revealed. "And there was a discussion, and that scene is no longer in the script.

"I think that the only way that we can succeed is to stick to the books," she insisted. "If you are worried about how to please the fans, you will fail if you don't stick to the books."

Reed also dishes, though, that she won't miss out on the opportunity to be in Italy during shooting:

"I am not in any of the scenes in Italy, but we've already made sure that I am going to Italy while they shoot that," Nikki Reed laughed, revealing plans to witness the Volturi firsthand. "Because I am sort of obsessed with that portion of the book."

As Twilighters know, Nikki's no-nonsense vampire Rosalie will check out of the film along with many other key characters once the Italian scenes begin. But Reed promised her fans that if you want Rosalie to be there when Alice and Bella rush to save Edward, well, she kinda will be.

Rob flits to L.A. for the weekend, then back to VanCity for some bedroom action

Remember my Twit from last night? I wondered where RPattz was headed... Lainey spills the deets, like the awesome gossip columnist she is:

Robert Pattinson slipped away from Vancouver this weekend for a quick break to LA. Returned back on Sunday night to continue working on New Moon. A few bedroom dream sequences are happening early this week. Then an interesting shoot later on.

Back to Rob - soon as he arrived back in Vancouver, he hooked up with Ashley Greene and Rachelle Lefevre at a pub for a few drinks to unwind.

As for his time in Los Angeles – he stayed relatively uncover, perhaps popping in to see a friend or two. Nikki Reed is his friend. Nikki’s in LA too. Here she is on a dog walk with friend Sage on Friday.

More Romantic Rivalry Rumor Control- It's a good Monday.

Sage of The Dills dished to RadarOnline.com about the lack of sexual tension and overall friendly feeling among the Twi-crew:

"Rob, Nikki and Kristen all were dancing right up front to the side the whole time. It's just great when your friends support you," Sage tells RadarOnline exclusively.

The Twilight trio (naturally) posted for fan photos before returning to their hotel with Sage, where the group partied all night and listened to music.

"Everyone is best friends," Sage tells us, "the rumors about anyone not getting along aren' t true, everyone likes each other and there aren't any romantic rivalries at all."

Dispelling rumors that Robert Pattinson was at the Coachella Concert Friday night, Gossip Girls has proof-postive pics of Rob at "Sage" Dills concert in Vancouver this weekend:

With Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Nikki Reed stepping out side-by-side, the gang were out to support their good friend "Sage" Dill ( from Sage and The Dills) during her concert performance at The Metropole Saturday night (April 18).

During the course of the evening, Robert kindly greeted his many female fans, posing for pictures as he downed a bottle of Heineken.

Awww, sweetness... I heart this picture.

Meanwhile, Miss Stewart intently watched the happenings on stage, stepping out for a cigarette and a few pictures alongside her gal pal/co-star Miss Reed.

Last night, Nikki and friend showed up at Rob’s, and Jackson Rathbone too, but no sign of Kristen, for a little jam session before bedtime. For now though, we’re all about Nikki and friends with benefits. Ted and I agree on this – dating and f-cking are so not the same thing. Dating no. F-cking yes.

Oh Twi-hards…I know it’s what you all want. And I’d be so much more popular if I told you that Rob and Kristen could happen. But they only shot their first scene together last week, have only worked together 3 or 4 days on set, have spent very little time alone in Vancouver… it’s a total buzzkill, I’m sorry. Bella and Edward have not walked off the pages. In a few years? Perhaps.

PS. A group of girls, everyday they’re downtown Vancouver wearing (thanks Emily!), all of them, the same hoodies that read: Looking 4 Robert Pattinson.

Rob and Nikki: Media Stunt or Twilight Romance?

Amanda Bell of the Twilight Examiner ponders an interesting theory, one that I am quick to believe...

Dating rumors between Rob and several single women have been swirling since the hunky bachelor began filming "Twilight." Natalie Portman, Megan Fox, Kristen Stewart, and even Paris Hilton are among the lucky ladies linked to Rob, who has denied each and every claim of romance. Nikki Reed is the latest woman whom many speculate is caught up in the Pattinson tryst:

The story began, says Associated Content, when

Reports from gossip websites . . . spread that Reed and Pattinson ha[d] been secretly dating on and off the Twilight: New Moon set. Lainey Gossip reported that Reed and Pattinson were together through much of last weekend, and hung out together after the Juno Awards. The site's sources further allege[d] that she stayed with Pattinson overnight this past Sunday, and was late in returning to Los Angeles the next morning.

This recent picture shows Nikki with Rob's BMW; he was in Vancouver at the time.

Though neither of the stars' representatives have spoken publicly on the issue, sometimes silence speaks volumes enough. While Nikki and Rob may have been seen together (shocker) while they are both together in Vancouver shooting a film, it is not surprising. It is no secret that during the filming of 2008's hit blockbuster Twilight, the cast grew exceptionally close to one another.

Thus, Amanda's theory: Is this all just a media stunt? If so, who is stirring up the rumors- Rob's camp or Nikki's camp, and why?

One of Amanda's readers speculates that the timing bodes well with the release of Little Ashes, a film that shows Pattinson in steamy sex scenes with another man. Perhaps the perception of a romance with a sexy fellow "Twilight" castmate will put to bed rumors of Pattinson's sexuality. After all, showcasing Robward as an Adonis figure is a much needed vision to carry out the theme of the perfect man for the Twilight Saga... an indie flick turned cash cow.

Nikki Reed dished to MTV her feelings about Kristen, Chris Weitz, and the heightened level of effects in New Moon *eek*:

"Rosalie feels really strongly about her hatred for Bella," grinned the 20-year-old Hollywood veteran, who returns to the set of "New Moon" this week to resume shooting the sequel. "It's bizarre. Obviously, we can do it because it is acting. But it is really funny."

She's speaking about her real-life love for BFF Kristen Stewart — a sharp contrast to her character's distaste toward Stewart's Bella. Fans all over the world have loved to hate Reed for being so cruel to their Bella, but in actuality, the duo recently took a vacation together to Africa and plan to reunite for the movie "K-11" between "Twilight" sequels.

"Kristen's my best friend," she said. "I get to work on a set with really wonderful people and really creative people, and there are a million people in the world that have read this series and love the series. I get to be with my best friend. I can't think of anything better."

"Chris is great, and he's got a different approach to this film," she revealed. "I think there's a progression with the special effects and stuff, with Jacob being introduced as a werewolf. I think everyone is walking into this knowing there is going to be a more heightened level of effects."

But if you're afraid that "New Moon" might lose some of the human element, don't worry. Reed was quick to remind us that her character's tumultuous relationship with Bella remains unchanged.

"Obviously, Rosalie hates her in ['New Moon']," Reed smiled. "Hopefully, we don't laugh too much while we are making it."

She's a MAN, baby!

Nikki Reed, Kristen Stewart, and Kristen's mom will all be tied up briefly over the summer shooting K-11.

"K-11" will be the directorial debut for Kristen's mother, Jules Mann-Stewart. It will tell the story behind the most bizarre unit in all of L.A. county lock-up, which houses transvestites, transsexuals, and the occasional high profile celebrity.

Nikki will transform from the most beautiful woman in the world to a... man. "My character, Mousy, is a male prostitute, and he goes in and out of the jail because it is comfortable to have a place to sleep and recoup and relax and have food and shelter - [when he] gets sent back out, there is a lot of underground drug stuff that is going on. [K-11] is a world in itself," she said.

About Kristen's character, Nikki says, ""[Stewart] doesn't have the same level of physical transformation as me, but she definitely came to the table with a plethora of ideas ... her character doesn't have facial hair or an Adam's apple [because] she is playing more of a boy," so she explained.

The Dish on Who was Where for DVD Release Parties- RPattz and KStew No-Shows

Salt Lake City
Hundreds of moms and daughters flocked to the Riverton Wal-Mart in Salt Lake City where Rachelle Lefevre made an appearance.

Lefevre, who plays the evil vampire Victoria, signed autographs and expressed surprise at the turnout. "This is just unbelievable," Lefevre said. "You get better at handling it, your lip doesn't quiver anymore, but the excitement never, ever goes away."

She said she was "flattered" to be chosen to go to Utah, where "Twilight" author Stephanie Meyer hails from. Fans said they "bitten," a term Twilighters use to refer to their rabid attraction to the books and film. "Every girl wants to find her Edward," said one fan.

New York City
Edi Gathegi was at the Penn Plaza Borders store in New York City. The Borders employees held a scavenger hunt and trivia contest for the nearly 500 fans who made the party.

Los Angeles
Ashley Greene was in the Los Angeles making the rounds and surprising fans. Fans filling the mall screamed like crazy as the party got ready to start and got louder when the crowd learned a cast member was going to be there.

Chicago
Nikki Reed showed up at a Hot Topics store in Chicago. Fans report that she was super sweet. She told fans how much she appreciated every one coming out and how she loved her fans. “She looked like she was about to cry! She was absolutely gorgeous and so thankful for everything!” one fan reported.

Reed Rocks the Red Tennies!

Gossip Girls reports:

Dressed down in a yellow Velvet Underground t-shirt and jeans, Nikki Reed was spotted out and about in West Hollywood on St Patrick's Day (March 17).

The young "Twilight" star visited a shop on La Cienga Boulevard before heading to Whole Foods for a bite to eat for lunch with a few of her pals.
